KHAYO COMMUNITY-NEW TESTAMENT BIBLE LAUNCH AND DEDICATION
The Khayo community celebrated a remarkable and long-awaited milestone with the launch of the New Testament in the Khayo heart language. This historic event marked the first time that Scripture became fully accessible in the language that carries the community’s stories, identity, and daily conversations.
The launch brought together church leaders, elders, youth, and families from across the region. Joyful songs, cultural expressions, and heartfelt prayers filled the day as passages from the New Testament were read in Khayo. Many shared that hearing God’s Word in their own language made the message clearer, more relatable, and deeply moving. For some, it was the first moment they truly felt Scripture “speaking directly to them.”
Since the launch, the Khayo New Testament has sparked renewed engagement with the Bible. Churches are incorporating it into teaching and worship, small groups are growing, and families are reading together with confidence and excitement. The translation has strengthened understanding of the Gospel and created new opportunities for discipleship within the community.
Beyond its spiritual impact, the launch reaffirmed the beauty and value of the Khayo language. It reminded the community that their culture and identity are worth celebrating and preserving.
The Khayo New Testament marks the beginning of a new chapter, one of faith, empowerment, and transformation as God’s Word continues to touch lives in the language of the heart.
